Language Industry Certification System LICS

The Language Industry Certification System®, LICS®, provides translation services providers worldwide with a tool to obtain a globally uniform and recognised third party certifcate on the EN 15038 conformity of their services.

LICS® was founded by AS+Certification, a subsidiary of the Austrian Standards Institute, together with the International Network for Terminology.

LICS® works with a network of partners in Europe and internationally. These partners carry out the the actual work of certification in a specified area and are authorized for their work by LICS headquartes in Vienna. Local partners are subject to regular survaillance.

LICS® headquartes maintain a central register of all LICS EN 15038 certified translation services providers.
