Language Industry Certification System LICS

The Language Industry Certification System®, LICS®, offers translation service providers around the world a tool with which to obtain a globally uniform and recognized third-party certificate attesting to the EN 15038 compliance of their services.

LICS® was founded by AS+Certification, a subsidiary of the Austrian Standards Institute, together with the International Network for Terminology.

LICS® works with a network of partners in Europe and internationally. These partners carry out the actual task of certification in a specified area, acting on the authority of the LICS headquarters in Vienna. Local partners are monitored on a regular basis.

LICS® headquarters maintains a central register of all LICS EN 15038-certified translation service providers.
