How achieve the LICS EN 15038 certificate

The major objective of LICSĀ® is harmonize the approach how TSPs are being certified by various certification bodies and/or auditors. This is achieved by means of a Certification Scheme which is mandatory for all LICSĀ® certfication partners.
The LICS EN 15038 certification process follows the following steps:
  1. Application: Done by means of the a certification form provided by the local certification partner.
  2. Documentation: The TSPs must file a documentation containing basic information on the TSP as well self declaration on how the TSPs complies with the requirements of EN 15038.
  3. The audit: The core of the certification process is the audit, the prupose of which is to collect evidences that the TSP meets EN 15038 requirements. These evidences are e.g. interviews with relevant staff, checking records and translation jobs carried and following activties.
    The audit is carried out by a qualified auditor who has been specificially been trained to conduct EN 15038 audits.
  4. Review and issue of the certificate: Following the audit, the auditor send his/her report to the certification body in charge who will assess the audit report. Following positive assessment a certificate with a validity of 6 years is issued.
  5. Surveillance audits: In order to maintain the certificate surveillance audits will be carried out on a 2-years cycle.
